Mounjaro, Ozempic & Wegovy prices: Thailand vs the UK, US and Australia
At the Bangkok clinics that publish prices (captured Oct 2026), a Mounjaro pen is listed at ฿8,999 – ฿26,500 (5 clinics), an Ozempic pen at ฿10,800 – ฿13,300 (2 clinics) and a Wegovy pen at ฿16,000 – ฿19,500 (1 clinic). In the UK, Lilly’s list price for a Mounjaro pen has been £133–£330 since 1 September 2025 (NICE), excluding VAT and before any pharmacy or consultation fee. In the US, Lilly’s list price for a 28-day supply of Mounjaro is $1,112.16 and Zepbound’s up to $1,086.37, with a manufacturer self-pay programme at $299–$449 a month (Lilly, Dec 2025). In Australia, GLP-1 medicines are not PBS-subsidised for weight loss; news reports put private Mounjaro at up to A$700 a month (ABC, Oct 2026) and Wegovy from A$260 a month (ABC, Dec 2025).
A pen is normally four weekly doses, so a per-pen price is roughly a four-week supply at one strength. Beyond that the figures are not like-for-like: Bangkok prices are per pen at a clinic and may exclude the consultation; UK figures are list prices used for NHS reimbursement, not what a private patient pays; US list prices are rarely what an insured patient pays; Australian figures are reported private prices. Why these numbers aren’t like-for-like
- Per pen vs per month. A Mounjaro, Ozempic or Wegovy pen holds four weekly doses, so a per-pen price approximates four weeks at one strength. Bangkok rows that are programmes or multi-pen packs are kept separate because they bundle different things (consultation, several pens, labs).
- List price vs what people pay. UK list prices (NICE) exclude 20% VAT and are reimbursement figures; a private UK patient pays a pharmacy price plus consultation, which we don’t cite because the only sources are sellers. US list prices are what the manufacturer publishes; insured and self-pay-programme patients pay less. Australian figures are reported private-script prices because the medicines aren’t PBS-subsidised for weight loss.
- What’s included. Bangkok clinic prices may or may not include the consultation; the per-clinic rows on each compound page say what the clinic lists. In every market the medicine is prescription-only.
- Dose. Prices rise with strength in the UK, the US (Zepbound self-pay) and Australia (Wegovy). Bangkok ranges span the strengths clinics publish; see each clinic’s row for the strength.
- Dates and rates. Every figure carries its date. Bangkok prices are re-checked monthly; home-market list prices change when manufacturers change them (the UK Mounjaro list price roughly tripled on 1 Sep 2025). THB equivalents are at the Bank of Thailand rate of 22 October 2026 and move daily.
- Legality and safety. Prices below the clinic ranges above tend to come from unregistered sellers. The Thai FDA seized unregistered peptide injections worth over ฿52 million in September 2026 and warned that “the lower price of an unregistered product did not make it a safe alternative” (Nation Thailand).
